A 32-year-old man in Ibanda district has been lynche and burnt to death after residents suspected him to being a thief.
The incident occured in Buhumuriro trading center Irimya parish, Kicuzi Sub County Ibanda on Tuesday night.
Police has identified the deceased as Benson Agaba, a resident of Ntabahara village in Mahyoro sub county, Kitagwenda district . He was lynched into coma before the angry mob set his body on fire using petrol.
Ibanda Paul Muhenda, the OC CID Ibanda said police are investingation on the matter to compile facts thereafter they will release a report on the murder.
Yesterday, police visited the scene and body was conveyed to Ruhoko health center IV for postmortem.
