Rwampara
Police in Rwampara District is investigating a murder case involving a 51-year-old woman named Kinkuhaire Clemensia. The incident occurred on December 29, 2023, at 8:00 PM. Allegedly, the victim had gone to Rushanje trading centre in search of her two sons. She told them to go home while she had a drink with her sister, Kyohairwe Immaculate.
Later, Clemensia and her sister went their separate ways at 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, the next day, Clemensia’s lifeless body was found in her banana plantation, near her home with a cut on her head.
Initial investigations have revealed an ongoing land dispute between the deceased and her brother Atuhaire Bazilio who had recently been released from prison and had been threatening Clemensia. He was later taken into custody by the police for questioning.
The police visited the crime scene, documented the area, and deployed a trained Police Canine to track possible suspects. A postmortem examination was conducted on Clemensia’s body, which was then released to her family for burial.
The investigation into this murder continues, with the hope of serving justice and apprehending the perpetrators and actively pursuing leads and conducting inquiries to shed light on the circumstances.
SP Kasasira Samson, the Public Relations Officer for Rwizi Region, assures the public of the authorities’ commitment to resolving the case. Anyone with additional information is urged to come forward and assist with the investigation.
