Police in Alabama has confirmed the reports on an Alabama woman who hurled a pot of hot grease over a man in self-defense after he allegedly entered her home while armed.
Larondrick Macklin, 31, was detained by officers from the Decatur Police Department on August 1 after they responded to a domestic dispute call at the 2800-block of Wimberly Drive, Decatur.
The suspect was discovered with burns on his face and taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
News has it that Macklin is the ex-boyfriend of the female victim and had been armed with a pistol during the incident.
However, police denied commenting on the relationship affairs between the two since the case was of a domestic nature.
“Preliminary investigation at the scene had deemed that Macklin repeatedly provoked a woman who in a bid to save her dearly life soaked him with hot grease after he entered her home armed with firearm,” Police Reported.
On August 2, he was charged with two felonies: burglary in the first degree and domestic violence in the first degree.
After getting medical attention, the suspect was taken to Morgan County Jail, where he remains in custody in lieu of a judge-appointed $300,000 bond.
