MITOOMA
A businessman in Mitooma district southwest Uganda is breathing in coolers after he was arrested on allegations of defiling a 12-year-old girl.
The suspect is Ambrose Ashaba, 36, a resident of Katwe village, Kigarama parish, Bitereko sub-county, Ruhinda North in Mitooma district where he operates his small merchandise shop.

Police reports from Mitooma allege that the suspected repeatedly defiled the minor from January to March 2023.
ASP Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson confirmed the development and said the suspect is under arrest pending court.
Martial condemned evil acts of child abuse by aged men warning parents and guardians to keep keen eyes on their children.
