Parrots – MTN Uganda introduces the new revamped packages of the non-expirable freedom data bundles. First introduced in 2019, the freedom bundles sees a huge upgrade in sizes from the existing packages and can only be purchased from myMTN app.

What’s New?

The revamped MTN Freedom bundle opens up a whole new data experience for most users as they will not need to worry about the data expiring at the end of the day.

MTN’s new data bundles include a 1GB, 4GB, 7GB, 15GB and 40GB data priced at UGX 5,000, UGX 15,000 and UGX 25,000, UGX 50,000 and UGX 100,000 respectively.

Another thing to note is that the new bundles can only be used when you have 4G MTN SIM cards. This, however, doesn’t mean customers are supposed to have a 4G-enabled phone to enjoy or use the data bundles.

The buying model has also changed from dialing *150*6# to exclusively available on the MTNMoMo myMTN App.

Bundle Volume Price (UGX) Bundle Volume Price (UGX)

7GB 25,000shs 1GB 5,000shs

The idea of internet bundles expiring doesn’t sit with many users and MTN Uganda spearheading the new phase of non-expirable packages is highly welcomed. We expect to see other ISPs adopt it soon. At the end of the day, it’s the customers that will benefit more and boost the digital economy. For now, share with us why you are excited about the revamped MTN Freedom Bundles.
