Police in Rwampara district are on the hunt for Yona Tumwebaze, who allegedly attacked and injured two staff members from Mwizi Sacco during a loan recovery operation.
The victims, Moureen Tusingwire and Leopold Kashaija, were attempting to collect loan payments from Tumwebaze at his home in Kabatanagyi II Cell when he turned violent, grabbing a panga and assaulting them.
Tusingwire suffered injuries to her left leg, while Kashaija was hurt on the arm.
Charles Mwesiga, the LC1 chairperson of Kabatanagyi II, said the suspect has always evaded the loan recovery team from Mwizi Sacco until yesterday when he escalated into violence.
