NBS TV Reporter Sheilah Nakabuye is dead.


The hand of death has again stricken the media industry this time robbing it of the life of reknown female journalist, Sheilah Nakabuye of Next Media Services.

“With great sadness, we at Next Media Services announce our terrible loss of a colleague, Sheilah Nakabuye, who has passed on this 17th May, 2021 morning at Mbarara Referral Hospital.” Next media confirmed in a condolence message.

According to a condolence message by the employer, Sheila died today morning at Mbarara regional referral where she has been admitted for few days on life supporting machine.

Next media reported that the deceased who had been pregnant gave birth to a bouncing baby girl on Saturday night upon which she experienced postnatal complications and went into coma. She was then put in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before breathing her last.

She hass been working as the media house’s Bureau Chief for South Western Uganda reporting about vulnerable groups such as women and children among other current affairs.

She holds Bachelor of journalism and mass communication from the Uganda Pentecostal University Fort Portal.

Next media described Nakabuye as an industrious  person who served with diligence and commitment in all the tasks assigned to her.

“She was a hard worker whose positivity we shall all miss greatly. Rest in Peace, Nakabuye.”

By the time of this publication, the deceased body was still at Mbarara hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
