The Nile special 7s commenced on 1st to 2nd July, 2023. It was hosted by Jinja hippos at Dam waters stone city being the defending champions.
This 1st league had 16 men’s team and women’s team include; Thunder birds, Avengers, Black Pearls, Nile rapids and Lady cranes.
It’s now written in history that the 2023 Nile special 7s are going to be played for 2 days.
Pirates merged to be the winners of the 1st league in men beating up Kobs 19-7. It was a good show case between the two teams because they are among the best teams in Uganda.
The man of the match (MOM) was Timothy Kisiga of Pirates due to his skills he used to score tries this making points for his team.
In the ladies, the lady cranes merged to be the winners beating up Thunder birds 34-00 at the final and the woman of the match (WOM) was Grace Nabagala it was a nice experience to her being her first time to play in the lady cranes.
