KAMPALA
Dr. Criscent Tumuhaise, Executive Director of Nkozi Hospital, was recently honored with the Paul Harris Fellow award on Saturday 25th, the highest Rotary World Award, at Mosa Courts Nakasero in Kampala.
The award was presented by DGE Geoffrey M Kitakule, the new District Governor Elect, who praised Dr. Tumuhaise for his selfless contributions to the Rotary World throughout the Rotary year.
The event was also graced by a Tsunami Visit, by the Rotarians from Rotary Club of Muyenga Bukasa led by their President Elect Ms Nakamatte Florence
Others present included AG, President RC Portbell, PAG Herbert Tumwesigye of RC Bweyogere Central
At the same event, the Clubs’ Charter President, Assistant Governor Hope Tumwesigye received recognition as Rotary International Major Donor. Other awardees included Rtn Praise Mwesiga and President Nominee Marie Aber Mwesigwa who both got PHF awards, and all from Nakasero Buddy Group.
The Nakasero Buddy Group treated their awards to a dinner at Sheraton Hotel together with their visitors from RC Muyenga Bukasa, Portbell, Bweyogere Namboole and Kampala Central.
“Rotary means service beyond self,” Dr. Tumuhaise commented. “I’m happy to participate and contribute to changing lives in our societies and beyond. Together, we can make a greater impact.”
