KAMPALA
Police have launched an investigation after the sudden death of the Brazilian national in Kampala.
The deceased is Douglas Junior Martins a resident of Kagugube village, in Kawempe Kampala. He allegedly collapsed dead at a clinic.
According to police, the deceased is known as a pastor in the area. He was found with a syrup bottle and a passport number FU337925 from Brazil.
“We do not know whether the contents of the syrup bottle led to his death or he was treating an illness,” said police.
Police says they conducted a thorough search at the deceased residence in which they recovered assorted drugs, laptop, Bible, mobile phones and other documents belonging to the deceased.
“We have informed the respective embassy and investigations are ongoing,” police said
Douglas’ body was conveyed to City Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem.
