Subsequent to the concerns raised by the Kalungu West legislator, Hon. Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu on leaving out of science headteachers in salary enhancements plan, the speaker of parliament has ordered the ministries of Public Service and Education to explain on the same.

Ssewungu told parliament last as much as the science teachers have received their salary enhancement, head teachers have not.

He says that as a result, heads of schools have asked to be demoted to a classroom teachers to benefit from the cash.

He asked speaker Among to summon both the Ministry of Public Service and Ministry of Education to explain the discrepancies.

Parrots UG has learned that the speake has since directed either ministries to explain to the August House why science head teachers and deputy head teachers were left out in the latest salary enhancement for science teachers.
