The Kabale Resident District Commissioner Darius Nandinda has once again come to spotlights for violations of human rights in the area.
Nandinda is alleged of ordering the assault of Muhammad Byaruhanga, a healthworker at Kabale regional referral hospital.
According to reports, the RDC on Sunday night allegedly directed his bodyguard to beat up Byaruhanga who was found moving to home from his work in past curfew hours contrary to presidential directives on 7PM curfew
Byaruhanga according to reports becomes the fourth medic to be assaulted by security personnel in Kabale despite the presidential waive for essential workers travel even past time with the ministry of works provided stickers.
In the footages circulating on social media, Byaruhanga sustained ear injuries and its suspected that he has a preforated eardrum.
RDC Nandinda however denied the accusations dismissing them as rumours.
On Monday July 5, Nandinda held a press briefing and dismissed the accusations as false accusations calling on the district police commander (RDC) and Regional Police Commander (RPC) to intervene into the matter and carry out immediate investigations.
Nandinda has since the previous election campaigns been spotlights for violations of human rights especially the journalists who accuses him of continued harassment against members of the media.
