Outspoken veteran journalist and political analyst Joseph Tamale Mirundi has passed on.
The former Senior Presidential Press Secretary died on Tuesday evening (August 13) at a hospital in Kampala.
Renown of his short books authorship, Tamale Mirundi was born in 1964 in Matale village, Rakai district , central Uganda to Mzee Yowana Mirundi and mother Molly Mirundi.
He was President Museveni’s Press Secretary for 12 years.
Tamale Mirundi came into limelights at the height of protests over the government’s refusal to allow Kabaka to visit Kayunga in September 2009, when he supported the government’s stance despite being of Buganda origin.
He also justified the decision of the government to temporarily shut down four radio stations. Mirundi is one of the Ugandans who would attack and abuse anyone to save the first family.
He has been hospitalized in Kisubi Hospital Entebbe municipality in Wakiso district for a couple of weeks. Details of his death follow…… MHSRIP.
