Otuke district leaders have done an act of inhumanness after they resolved to send back hungry Karamojong to their famine stricken homeland
Last week, 47 vulnerable Karamojong women and children from Kotido District entered Otuke district in search of food and water following a looming hunger in their region.
They were offered food and shelter at Okwongo Church of Uganda and Okwongo Primary School.
However, the district leaders and elders held an urgent meeting inwhich they resolved that the group should return to Kotido.
On Sunday, Karamojong were loaded on a truck and escorted back for fear of causing food insecurities in the district
Francis Abola, the LCV Chairperson says that the hungry families were sent back because there is inadequate food in Otuke
