Police in Sheema district are searching for the whereabouts of a 40-year-old Dad for allegedly defiling and impregnanting his biological daughter.
It is alleged that Nelson Tumusiime, a resident of Kagango cell, Kagango Division in Sheema municipality repeatedly defiled the victim who they lived together with her siblings and the grandmother after separating with his wife.
On September 27, the suspect took the victim to Kabwohe HCIV for diagnosis after she complained about abdominal and stomach pains. Upon examination, the victim tested positive for pregnancy and the Dad was a prime suspect.
Greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime did not disclosed details of the victim because she is a minor but said she is a pupil at Unique Nursery and Primary School in Sheema.
He said the suspect ran away and abandoned the daughter in the hospital when the health worker started interrogating her on the man responsible for her pregnancy. Police has already started investigating the matter and when arrested, the suspect will be charged with defilement.
