The Uganda Advanced Certificate Examinations (UACE) results were officially released today at the UNEB head offices in Kampala. Hon. Minister Janet Kataha also the first Lady presided over the event, accompanied by delegates. In her address, she pointed out a concerning trend of girls showing a lack of interest in science subjects, with those who attempted them performing below the boys.
St. Charles Kashekuro High School, in Sheema district, emerged as a standout performer, with their top student scoring an impressive 20 points and their lowest achieving 6 points.
This success has become a regular occurrence under the leadership of headteacher Mr. Mutungi Alex (Neera), a respected economist and educator known for shaping the academic success of his students.
The school community, led by Mr. Mutungi, celebrated the results with a joyous dance, accompanied by uplifting songs such as “Cheza Ne Yezu” and “Tukikore Neera.” The latter, a favorite of the headmaster, symbolizes the school’s commitment to continuous excellence, a sentiment echoed in the nickname given to him by both staff and students – “Neera.”
This latest academic achievement further solidifies St. Charles Kashekuro High School’s reputation as a center of excellence under the visionary leadership of Mr. Mutungi. The school continues to inspire and motivate its students towards academic success, ensuring a bright future for all who pass through its doors.
