St. Charles Lwanga Vocational School Kitabi recently held a commemoration event in honor of their former headteacher, the Late Br. Nobert Mugarura. The event, which organized by the late Brother Nobert’s old boys and attended by thousands of individuals, included a high mass and the inauguration of the Br. Nobert memorial building.
The celebrations were marked by the presence of dignitaries such as His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha who led the celebration of mass and Rtd Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi katugugu the chief guest who also contributed generously 20 million Ugandan shillings towards the construction of the memorial building.
Other notable attendees included Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha, Hon. Minister Raphael Magezi, Hon. Allen Katushabe Ishaaraza, and Dr. Silver Mugisha Managing Director of NWSC.
The delegates showed their support by making significant financial contributions towards the cause. The event concluded with the planting of a memorial tree in honor of the Late Br. Nobert, symbolizing the lasting legacy he left behind at the school. Overall, the commemoration was a touching tribute to a beloved former headteacher.
Brother Charles was a born of Buyanja Rukungiri in the new parish of St Peter’s Buyanja an the president of Banakalori brothers.
