The head of treasurery at Tororo Taxi park, Ali Kifude is on run after he allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl in the area.
Its is alleged that last week, Ali popularly known as Ali Kwa Ali, a resident of Agururu A3, Kyaminula Village in Western Division, Tororo municipality, seduced the innocent girl (name withheld) to go with him to his home in Kyaminula.
According to the victim, when she reached at Ali’s home, she found him leaving alone without a wife something that scared her. She says, in the middle of the night, Ali tiptoed to her bedroom, grabbed her by the neck and defiled her leaving her in deep pains and blood oozing in her private parts.
She says this forced her to escape the home in fear of her dear life. She would later find herself into a bush near Kagera bridge in Rubongi where she was the next morning found hiding by the area municipal councilor Okongo Micheal and his two colleagues; Amos Diope and Andrew Amuye while monitoring a construction work at Kagera bridge.
A case of defilement was registered at Tororo Central Police Station and the suspect is being hunted.
Residents say that Ali is a renown defiler in the area and most of his wives have fled his home because of his misbehaviors.
John Mugwe, the Bukedi police spokesperson confirmed to the incident noting that police has already launched a manhunt for the suspect.
