The territorial police of Rubanda is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of two family members.
It’s alleged that today morning ( 21/12/2022) at about 07:00 am one Mujuni Werren 45 yrs, was found murdered by unknown people on the way to his house by his neighbor who made an alarm that attracted a crowd of residents including the deceased’s wife a one Christine Keneema.
Residents became suspecious about the wife since the two have always been having domestic related problems to have master minded his death, hence lynched her to death.
A resident who did not want his name published called the police who visited the scene immediately and postmortem was done there and then. Police later allowed the residents to bury the two bodies as the inquiries into the matter continue.
The double murder incident happened at Katojo village Kashasha parish Ikumba sub county Rubanda district
Our reporter spoke to the PRO Kigezi regional police ASP Elly Maate who confirmed the tragic incident.
ASP Maate has warned residents who could have participated in either of the murders that they will be delt with according to the law. He notes that they should always arrest such suspects and hand them over to police not battering them to death.
