Uganda Cricket Association has unveiled the roster for Uganda’s national cricket team, the Cricket Cranes, ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA.
This marks Uganda’s debut in the T20 World Cup and the first time the cricket cranes will compete in a senior men’s World Cup.
Led by Captain Brian Masaba and Vice-Captain Riazat Ali Shah, the squad comprises a mix of experienced players like Kenneth Waiswa and emerging talents such as Cosmas Kyewuta.
With Coach Abhay Sharma at the helm, the team aims to leave its mark on the global stage, embodying the aspirations of the Pearl of Africa.
The squad also includes familiar faces like Roger Mukasa and Robinson Obuya, with Ronald Lutaaya and Innocent Mwebaze named as traveling reserves.
Completing the squad is Juma Miyaji, whose all-round abilities will give versatility to the team’s lineup, ensuring depth and balance across all departments.
Uganda kicks off its campaign against Afghanistan on June 3 in Guyana.
