Building a strong relationship with God; Tukahaba’s Perspective

UPC President Jimmy Akena has said he will not be leaving Dokolo soon until the last day of the by-election.

The president made the remarks while campaigning for his candidate, Sarah Aguti Nyangkori earlier today in Kwera subcounty when he alleged that there are attempts by some political actors to rig the elections but assured voters and UPC supporters of the party’s measures to guard their votes.

“We have come here for serious business and the first business on the order is to win the Dokolo by-election on Thursday 21st March 2024. I can assure you that your vote will be protected. I’m not going to leave Dokolo until the last vote is cast, counted, and declared. If anyone has any tricks for rigging, is going to meet Akena here!” – UPC President Hon. Jimmy Akena said.

Today, the UPC campaign team was in Okwongodul and Kwera Sub-Counties. They were received with a cheerful entourage at Oyengo Pere in Kwera Sub-county where hundreds of thousand party supporters and those from other political parties majority from NRM pledged to rally behind Aguti who they said is the servant leader which Dokolo has longed for.

At Ojer village, which was the third campaign venue, another mammoth of supporters chanting in UPC songs, with their open palm symbols raised up welcomed Aguti in a Jerusalem like triumph entry reflecting the love, passion which the electorates in Dokolo have for Aguti and the UpC. Here, UPC tightened her nuts in Dokolo and a long relationship was renewed.

At all campaigning centres, the well composed, Oratorical Aguti pledged to serve Dokolo to the last person promising to restore the district’s lost glory in education, healthcare, household income and other sectors of the economy.

At least seven candidates are contesting for the district woman member of parliament, Dokolo following the death of their former MP Cecilia Ogwal. However, Aguti is undoubtedly believed to win this seat due to her past proven political participation in Dokolo district and the love of the voters that is being shown throughout her campaigns.

Voting for Dokolo by-election will take place on Thursday 21st March, 2024.
