The UPDF, in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), has carried out a successful operation against terrorists in the region. The joint operation, codenamed Operation Shujaa, aimed at preventing the planners of a recent bomb discovered in Kampala from carrying out their deadly mission.

According to Brigadier Gen. Felix Kurayigye, spokesperson for the UPDF, the operation was carefully planned and strategically executed to deny the terrorists their freedom of action. Although the details of the operation have not been made public, the army will provide further information at a later stage.

UPDF has praised the bravery and dedication of it’s forces who participated in the operation, acknowledging the sacrifices they continue to make to ensure the country’s territorial integrity is maintained. Additionally, the military has commended the FARDC for its continued cooperation in the fight against terrorism in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Uganda government has been on high alert following the recent discovery of a bomb in Kampala. Security measures in the country have been intensified, and the government has vowed to do everything possible to safeguard the lives of its citizens.

The joint operation between the Ugandan military and the FARDC comes amid growing concerns about the increasing terrorism threat in the region. Reports indicate that terrorist groups have been expanding their reach and influence in parts of the region, posing a significant threat to the security of citizens.

The joint operation is seen as a significant boost in the fight against terrorism in the region. The two militaries have pledged to continue working together to eliminate terrorist threats and restore peace and stability to the region.
