Unknown assailants last night attacked and set ablaze a house belonging to the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) officer leaving the Eight occupants of the house nearly dead.
The assailants according to reports attacked the house of Major Emma Mutezi, the UPDF Intelligence Officer (IO) for Kampala and burnt it.
It is alleged that they first sprayed chloroform inside the house before they could use petrol to set the house on fire.
Residents were immediately alerted by the fire flames and managed to break into the house. Eight persons including Maj. Emma Mutezi were rescued but in unconscious states.
The officer and other occupants of the house were rushed to a hospital in Kampala for treatment.
