“Mr. Mazimba Januario, eriizooba yaatushomera amakuru omurundi gw’ahamuheru,” which literally translates that Mr. Mazimba Januario has presented his final news bulletin.”
With a career spanning over two decades, Januario has been an integral part of Radio West since 2002, serving as a news anchor and announcer. He is also the founder of the acclaimed Mazimba Choir and has released several Catholic hymns.
Sources close to the broadcaster indicate that Mazimba has been courted by Radio Maria Mbarara, a Catholic faith-based media house, since 2017, and is likely to join the station in his next career move.
Radio West has expressed gratitude for Januario’s tireless service, saying, “Thank you, Jan, for serving your country selflessly. May God bless you with a prosperous future.”
