The Police are holding a suspect on allegations of starting fire that destroyed business kiosks at the Uganda National Theatre in Kampala.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan has identified the suspect as Vincent Sanjo, a welder.
It is alleged that Sanjo was welding at one of the kiosks when the fire started destroying kiosks and other properties.

Eye witnesses said the sparks from the welding machine ignited to the kiosks rooftops thatched with grasses causing the deadly fire outbreaks.
Property worth millions of shillings has been destroyed in a fire.
Police fire and rescue service responded to the fires and extinguished it before it could spread to other areas.
