It was unpaid dram in Mityana magistrate court after a 19year old lady accused of faking pregnancy collapsed and died during her trial before Mityana magistrate’s court.
The deaceased is identified as Olivia Nassanga allegedly obtained money by false pretence from her husband, a one Owen Kawuki whom she deceived was carrying his pregnancy.
According to Rhoda Bukirwa, the deceased mother, Nassanga was first remanded to Mityana prison before she was bailed out.
She however alleges that her daughter who had gone to report her bail to court was given drinks by her husband, Kawuki containing chemical substances that eventually caused her death.
The Wamala region police spokesperson Racheal Kawala says the suspect – (Kawuki) has been arrested to help in investigations while he body of the deceased has been taken to Mityana general hospital for a postmortem.
