Police in Kampala have arrested two people in connection with the death of man in a commuter taxi.
Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesman ASP Luke Owoyesigyire says Peter Apangu was found dead in a taxi UAU 859L that was traveling from Katooke, Bwaise to Kampala.

“It is alleged that when the taxi reached Nakivubo Mews, the taxi operators tried to wake up Apangu to pay the fares only to realize that he was dead,” said Owoyesigire.
Police visited the scene of the incident and found out that Apangu had a swelling on the eye.
“Our homicide team has visited the scene and realised the deceased had a swelling on the eye, an indication that he had been beaten or hit,” he added
Owoyesigyire said that deceased body was taken to Mulago mortuary for a postermotem while the driver of the Taxi identified as John Ssemwogerere and his conductor, Bruno Mawejje were arrested to help in investigation.
