A primary school Teacher in Isingiro district is breathing behind the bars after police arrested him for allegedly killing his own 8-months-old child.
The suspect is Julius Monday, 27yrs, a resident of Rwenturagara village in Kyarubambura Parish Rugaaga sub-county Isingiro District. He is a teacher at Green Stone Primary School – Isingiro.

ASP Samson Kasasira, the Police Spokesperson for Rwizi region has identified the murdered son as Julius Asiimwe, Eight- Months – juvenile.
According to Kasasira, the incident occured on Sunday 13th March, 2022 at unknown time.
It is alleged that the suspect developed domestic misunderstandings with his wife, a one Gift Atuhaire, 20yrs, and later transferred the anger to their 8-month-boy child who he killed and later dumped the body in a swamp.
A case of a missing child was reported on Monday 15th March, 2022, at Rugaaga police at around 1550hrs and the suspect was apprehended.
On interrogation, the suspect confessed to killing his child and dumping the body in a swamp where he led the Police to the scene.
The deceased body was retrieved and taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem at 2400hrs in the night.
Kasasira has condemned all forms of violence and urges members of the public to always report to the relevant authorities in times of grievances for mediation and reconciliation.
