President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, also the national Chairman of the ruling NRM will on Friday, 1st July meet with the party’s top organ (CEC) to discuss the by-elections and the upcoming elections of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the country home of the president in Kyamate Ntungamo.
On Tuesday, the NRM party Electors Commission Chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi announced that they had opened the process of expression of interest for members who wish to vie for the EALA parliament in Arusha Tanzania.
The exercise is closing today and the names of the candidates will then be presented to the CEC which will recommend and pass the list of finalists to the NRM Parliamentary Caucus for further consideration.
Parrots UG has learned that activities to be conducted at Kyamate include vetting aspirants of the EALA parliament and discuss the parliamentary elections in counties of Bukimbiri, Busongora county South, Gogonyo among others.
