Opposition Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) has announced a mobilization campaign for Lango sub-region on September 8.
Sharon Oyat Arach, the UPC spokesperson says the campaign shall be in Apac and Kwania districts, northern Uganda.
“This is to inform the Party membership and general public that UPC shall hold Party activities in Apac and Kwania districts on Friday 8th September 2023,” said Arach.
According to Arach, the mobilization is part of the party activities ahead of the 2025/2026 General Elections.
“This is the time for internal arrangements which include organization, sensitization, mobilisation, recruitment of members into the Party and identification of potential candidates who shall carry the UPC flag in the forthcoming general elections which calls for sacrifice, commitment and hard work,” she said
UPC president also Lira City East Division Member of Parliament Hon. Jimmy Akena is expected to grace the activities.
This follows a recent announcement in which he Electoral Commission released the roadmap leading to the 2026 General Elections, with focus on early preparations and adequate funding for all activities.
