The Forum for Democratic Change leadership at Najjanankumbi has threatened to take disciplinary actions against Dr. Kizza Besigye and his errant Katonga group over hostile behaviors.
The revelation was made by Wokuri Margaret Madanda, the FDC deputy president for Eastern region during a media engagement at FDC headquarters on Monday.
She says the ongoing mobilization and grassroot structure elections organized by the Katonga group are hostile in nature which attracts disciplinary actions.
“I want to inform those members that as FDC, we don’t know those people. Our structure elections ended on October 6, 2023 at the National Delegates Conference in Lugogo,” said Wokuri.
The deputy president noted that the party National Executive Committee will sit on Wednesday (October 13) to determine on the fate of the Katonga group for impersonating
“…Dr (Besigye) cannot be just dismissed, there is a disciplinary committee if what he is doing is deemed hostile he will be called and the committee will take a decision which will be recommended to NEC and to pronounce itself,” Wokuri added.

She however, added that the party is ready to reconcile with Katonga group to build a firm institution ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Relatedly, Wokuri said that the FDC National Council meeting due on Friday will pass a roadmap for elections in the 30 districts across the country that did not take part in the grassroot elections as well as filling the gaps where they have been created.
