In the early hours of April 5th, 2024, a fire broke out at Cafe Bravo Restaurant, located at Uganda House on Kampala Road destroying a number of properties at the city restaurant. The swift response from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services helped contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further throughout the building.

Although the fire caused significant damage to the property, Emmanuel Ssenanda, the manager at the restaurant says there were no reported injuries or fatalities as a result of the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with authorities diligently collecting evidence to determine the root cause.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Kampala Metropolitan Police, assured the public that further updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety measures in commercial establishments. Police has implored businesses to regularly review and update their fire prevention protocols to minimize the risk of such incidents occurring in the future.
