The Catholic Church in Uganda has dismissed rumors circulating on various media platforms about the passing of Monsignor Expedito Magembe, a renowned Catholic priest and founder of the Mt. Sion Prayer Centre at Bukalango.
According to Fr. Joseph Mukiibi, the Kampala Archdiocese Communications Coordinator, the rumors of Fr. Magembe’s passing are entirely false and without foundation.
“We have been made aware of the rumors circulating on social media and other platforms about the passing of Rev Fr Expedito Magembe. We wish to inform the public that these rumors are completely untrue and without any basis in fact,” Fr. Mukiibi said in a statement.
Fr. Mukiibi urged the public to disregard the rumors and to rely only on official communication from the Catholic Church in Uganda.
“We request that the public remains calm and ignores the false rumors. We will continue to provide accurate and timely information about the activities and events of the Catholic Church in Uganda,” Fr. Mukiibi added.
Msgr. Expedito Magembe is a highly respected Catholic priest and founder of the Mt. Sion Prayer Centre at Bukalango. He is known for his tireless efforts to spread the word of God and serve his community, and his legacy continues to inspire and uplift people to this day.
