The session was led by Maj. Martha Asiimwe, Head of the RDC Secretariat, alongside her Deputy, Dr. Str. Akiror Mary Grace, and Senior Presidential Advisor on Mobilisation, Lt. Col. (Rtd.) Ambako Kibrai.

Speaking at the meeting, Maj. Asiimwe emphasised the need for collective responsibility in national development. She highlighted Uganda’s socio-economic progress and called on leaders to work together to sustain the country’s stability.

“Let us work together as one team, with one dream, for the socio-economic transformation of our country,” she urged.

The Deputy RDC of Nansana Municipality, Charles Lwanga, provided updates on security and infrastructure. He noted that while security remains stable, challenges such as burglary and drug abuse persist. He also outlined key road projects under the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area Urban Development Program, which aims to improve urban mobility.

On economic empowerment, Lwanga revealed that Nansana ranks among the top-performing municipalities in the Parish Development Model (PDM) fund disbursement, with UGX 6 billion allocated. However, concerns were raised over irregularities in some Emyooga SACCOs, prompting security agencies to intervene.

Lt. Col. (Rtd.) Ambako Kibrai, Senior presidential advisor on mobilization.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Kibrai stressed the importance of community engagement in service delivery. He acknowledged public concerns over health services, school infrastructure, and road conditions, urging leaders to communicate better with citizens.

“The President has a contract with the people, documented in the NRM Manifesto. Citizens are raising genuine concerns, and it is our duty to address them,” he stated.
