The minister of State for Microfinance, Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo has issued yet another golden rule, this time not about love but finances, when he asked the youth who are undergoing a training on Patriotism at National Leadership Institute (NALI) Kyankwanzi to love money as they love themselves.
As the youth, I urge you to love money the way you love yourselves. Have enough of yourselves, create wealth by investing in side ventures that generate you daily income,,” Kasolo said.
The minister urged the youth to embrace various government programs like Emyooga, Parish Development Model (PDM) and Youth Livelihood Program and other presidential skilling hubs in order to get out of poverty.
He also called for financial discipline, hard work, saving and investment to build sustainable income.
“I encourage you to be ambassadors of change in your communities, and also report those who misuse public funds.” he urged.
He challenged the youth against voices luring them into extravagant activities that consume their money without bringing any financial profits. He said that some people with selfish interests manipulate the youth into schemes that exploit them financially and they later shift the blame to the government for not creating jobs for them.
