KITAGWENDA
The newly elected Kitagwenda National Resistance Movement (NRM) District Executive Committee (DEC) officially assumed office yesterday, marking a new chapter in the district’s party leadership.
The handover ceremony, held at the NRM offices in Kitagwenda Town Council, was presided over by Dr. Charles Bakamya, the NRM registrar for Kitagwenda. The incoming committee is headed by Chairperson Nathan Musana and includes Vice Chairperson Patrick Turyamureba, also known as PAYI, General Secretary Moses Musabe, Publicity Secretary Ramanzani Namara, and Finance Secretary Joan Asiimwe.
In his inaugural address, Musana pledged to prioritize grassroots mobilization, enhance internal party democracy, and improve the working environment at the Kitagwenda NRM office. He also called upon aspiring candidates to embrace civility and use respectful language in their campaigns.
Dr. Bakamya urged the new leadership to uphold unity and teamwork as key pillars of success. Echoing this message, Vice Chairperson Turyamureba emphasized the importance of inclusivity, discouraging tribalism and segregation, and encouraging collective effort among leaders.
