KAMPALA
Kampala Metropolitan Police recently arrested a 27-year-old social media influencer, Nyanzi Kenneth Lukyamuzi, popularly known as Mukalakasa, on allegations of engaging in acts against the order of nature.
Police say the arrest follows the circulation of a video, reportedly recorded in 2018, which allegedly shows Lukyamuzi and other individuals still at large engaging in the acts in Kajjansi.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SP Racheal Kawala, confirmed the development, stating that the suspect was apprehended on March 24, 2026, in Kampala after being summoned by the Minister of Youths Affairs Balam Barugahara. Lukyamuzi is currently in custody as investigations continue.
“The suspect was successfully arrested and is being held as inquiries into the matter progress. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals seen in the video,” Kawala said.
Police further indicated that the case file will be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for review and legal guidance once investigations are complete.
Authorities have cautioned members of the public against engaging in unlawful acts and urged citizens to report any suspected cases to relevant security agencies.
Investigations remain ongoing, with police promising to provide updates as new developments emerge.
