The High court in Bushenyi has today (January 23) sentenced Loyce Mbaine Tihainomwangire to 18yrs in prison after she was found guilty of killing a local radio journalist.
The court heard that Loyce Mbaine, 25, while in Kitwe Rwentuha town council, Bushenyi Ishaka municipality in Bushenyi district killed Allan Mandela, alias King Allan Mateeka, a sports presenter at Hunter Radio on February 12, 2021.
She was sent to jail for 18 years including the three years of trial.The suspect allegedly killed Mandela, her long time lover accusing him of hiding from her his HIV/AIDS positive status.
She was later arrested and remanded to Nyamushekyera government prison until today when court sentences her to 18years of imprisonment.
