Social media has been set ablaze after popular TikToker Katongole Anthony, better known by his flamboyant Chicken Chicken, clashed publicly with his father, Saka Paul Nsubuga, in a late-night online showdown.

At the center of the storm was a 3 a.m. TikTok live session hosted by Kabata where father and son exchanged bitter words before thousands of viewers. Chicken, who has built a reputation as a bold and outspoken entertainer, dismissed the move as “stupid,” arguing that a father should never confront his child in such a public forum.

Speaking later to his mother Nankumba Mariam,  Chicken insisted that Nsubuga should have excused himself from the live stream and instead arranged a private, one-on-one talk. “I advise my father because I am also a father,” Chicken declared, adding that he is deeply disappointed by men who  think they will go on donating sperms but fail to take care of their children.

Nankumba advised his son to respect him as his father even if he insists he is not his real father.

The TikTok star, who boasts a growing brand and loyal following, emphasized that he is not chasing views like his father. “I am already a big brand,” he said, contrasting his own digital success with what he described as his father’s struggle to gain traction online.

This family feud has quickly become a trending topic in Uganda’s entertainment circles, sparking debates about generational clashes, parenting in the digital age, and the blurred lines between private family matters and public showbiz spectacle.

Speak on a live tiktok show Nsubuga told chicken to look for his father saying he can not sire a dumb child like him and told him to ask his mother to show him his real father. Nsubuga also challenged Chicken to bring proof that he does not take care of his children.

“Chicken is just looking for views and likes now that he has opened up a U tube channel” Nsubuga concluded.

Whether this drama fizzles out or escalates further, one thing is clear: Chicken Chicken knows how to turn controversy into content, and audiences are watching closely. Chicken has already started a move to find his father by visiting his grandmothers from both sides as he plans to do a DNA test on his father.
