It is with great joy in the catholic religious congregation of the Consolata Missionaries where one of their confreres Rev. Fr.Peter Munguti Makau IMC who has been serving as the Kenya Uganda regional Superior was recently appointed by the Holy father a Bishop of Isiolo.
The superior general of Consolata missionaries Fr.James Lengarin has declared the new appointments in his letter shortly after one of the regional superior of Kenya -Uganda had been appointed by the Holy father a Bishop of Isiolo Diocese.
The vacancy of the Regional superior Kenya Ugandan has been replaced by Fr. Zachariah who will be assisted by Fr.Joseph. Fr peter Makau has been serving the institute as the reginal superior of Kenya Uganda region.
Fr Makau was born on 06/05 1975 in the Eastern part of Kenya in 1982-1990, he attended his Elementary secondary school at Kionyueni primary school and later joined Machakos- Pope Paul seminary from 1991- 1994 where he completed his High School.
From 1995 – 1998 he attained a degree in Philosophical studies at Consolata Seminary Nairobi, Kenya and in the year 1999-2004 ,he was at the Institute of Mazenod – Kinshasha for his Theological studies. After his ordination in the year 2004 he was appointed to serve in Venezuela from where he later on acted as the pastoral and Administrator in Carapita from 2006- 2014.
From 2014- 2016 he became the superior of the Delegation of Venezuela and he was elected again to the same position from 2016- 2019 . He later came back to his home land as superior of Kanya Region from 2019- 2022. He continued serving as the superior of Kenya region till now when he has been appointed as the Bishop.
