Nakaseeke chief magistrate court has granted a Ugx 200,000 cash bail to Hon. Paul Lutamaguzi Ssemakula, the lawmaker representing people of Nakaseeke South county Nakaseeke district in the 10th Parliament of Uganda.
Lutamaguzi and his 11 co accused had spent a week at Wakityo Government Prison where they were remanded on Thursday last week by garde one magistrate Mily Nankya after pleading not guilty of violating COVID-19 guidelines, uncommon nuisance and unlawful procession acts likely to spread an infectious disease corona virus.
Its recalled that the lawmarker was arrested last week on Wednesday with his supporters at Semuto road in Semuto Town council where according to the prosecutors, they committed the offences.
They applied for a bail which the trial magistrate Mily Nankya denied deferring to hear their bail application today September 3.
