● On 8 February 1990, Bishop Martin Luluga was appointed Bishop of Gulu Archdiocese replacing Bishop Cipriano Kihangire.
The Emeritus Bishop of Nebbi catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Martin Luluga has passed on, Uganda Episcopal Conference announced.

According to UEC, the Bishop died this morning at a Nebbi hospital. Details of the Bishop’s cause of death have not yet been communicated.
Born on 1st March 1933, in Lodonga Yumbe district, Bishop Martin Luluga has died at the age of 89 years.
According to the catholic records, Luluga has been serving as the Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Nebbi.
He was appointed bishop of Nebbi on 2 January 1999 and he retired on 8 February 2011.
He was ordained priest on 1 June 1963 at Arua. He served as priest in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Arua, until 17 October 1986.
On 17 October 1986, he was appointed bishop serving as Auxiliary Bishop of Gulu and as Titular Bishop of Aquae in Dacia.

On 11 January 1987, Martin Luluga was consecrated a Bishop at Gulu cathedral by Bishop Cipriano Biyehima Kihangire, the then Bishop of Gulu.
He was appointed Bishop of Gulu Archdiocese on 8 February 1990, replacing Bishop Cipriano Kihangire.
On 1999, the Holy Father appointed Bishop Martin Luluga Bishop of Nebbi a pastoral work he resigned on 8 February 2011. By the time of his death, Luluga has been serving as the Emeritus Bishop of Nebbi Catholic Diocese.
He will be remembered for his pastoral works in transforming spiritual livelihoods of the youth as well as growing church vocation in the northern region. MHSRIP
