“I can tell you without any doubts that Erias Lukwago would make a good president of Uganda,” Dr. Besigye. He adds; ‘a what I like on Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago is the constituency and clarity in his political pursuits. He is clear on what the struggle is and he commits unwavering to it,” he said.

Besigye made remarks on Thursday night while appearing on NTV On The Spot political program hosted by Patrick Kamara who asked him about the speculating Info that FDC is planning to endorse Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago as the presidential flag bearer. He asked Dr KB on his perspective on Lukwago’s presidency.

The four times presidential aspirant in response showed much agreements with Lukwago’s presidency however, he couldn’t hesitate to argue that who the FDC presidential flagbearer would be is an issue at hand.

“But that’s not the issue at hand. The issue at hand is to get what to lead. He is focused to get what to lead,” Besigye added.

He reminded Ugandans thirsty for the fundamental change of not sitting at the comfort of their homes and businesses but rather use their powers as granted in Article1 of the constitution to fight for the change they desire to attain.

“No body has ever become free for free. You have to fight for it. There is no other option,” he appealed.

He condemned the high levels of inequalities which have beefed up the country applauding the “Bizonto Comedy Group” for their recently released video in which they listed the names of public figures from same Ankole-Kigezi region (western uganda) occupying different political and public offices which according to them reflects nepotism and regional imbalances promoted by the ruling NRM government.

Dr Kizza Besigye (L) with Patrick Kamara (R) during a televised political talkshow at NTV.

Besigye said the group effectively disseminated the message FDC has hitherto done but this time in a language well understood to the masses.

“The Bizonto have done a job we have been doing but more effectively. They have spoken to the masses in a language they understand. They have shown clear inequality in the country.” Besigye on Bizonto comedians arrest.

Furthermore, Dr Kizza Besigye criticized gov’t on improper management of corona virus pandemic. He cited out a four plans module through which government would contain the virus spread without harming the economy of the country and human lives.

These includes; how to Examine people with a virus (surveillance plan), how to contain/ avoid the virus from spreading, how to protect people from acquiring the virus through building human body immunity and how to manage workspaces such as the Boda Boda industry, private teachers who have been affected by the lockdown.

Besigye who was not clear about his candidature in the forthcoming 2021 presidential elections added: “I am still in the fight, I will never leave the fight until its over or until I am over ” Dr Besigye.
