The Police in Old Kampala is holding a female teacher on allegatiins of defiling a 16-year-old male juvenile and infecting him with HIV.
The suspect is Nanya Elizabeth, 42, a teacher at Kigobe Primary School Namungoona a Kampala suburb.
She allegedly lured the male victim to her room at the staff quarters and sexually assaulted him on December 27.
Police preliminary reports indicate that while in the room, she caused the victim to remove his clothes and indulged into an unlawful act of sexual intercourse.
Police says Nanya had unprotected sex with the victim, with the full knowledge of her HIV status.
The victim was later examined and tested HIV positive and immediately put on Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
The suspect was arrested on charges of aggrevated defilement and she is currently under undisclosed police detention pending charges.
