It was a state of horror at Western Uganda’s oldest Ntare School as fire guts Head Teacher’s residence yesterday Saturday May 23rd, 2020 destroying his car and garage.
Parrotsug, broke into this story and our reporters at the scene continued withfollow-ups on the fires and police statements.
According to sources, yesterday at around 2:30pm unknown fire outbreak ripped Mr Jimmy Turyagyenda’s house, (the school HM) destroyinv the garage and his car Toyota Corolla Registration number UBE 219P and a number of other properties.
Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police spokesperson said that they have not have much about the fire and what could be the possible cause saying that they have started investigations.
He said that police rushed on to the scene after a tip-off from the locals and the school employee.
He further said that preliminary findings indicates that the fire could have started from electric short circuit in the garage connected to the kitchen.
Kasasira confirmed that the case was reported to Mbarara police station and a case file SD Ref 06/23/05/2020 was opened as thorough investigations are under way.
