Igara Growers Tea Factory has announced a reduction in prices of packed tea over COVID-19.
“Igara Growers Tea Factory LTD informs all tea growers about the decline in prices of packed/made tea due to COVID-19.” Factory Board announced.
The factory Chairm Board of Directors, Adrine kobusingye says that the price of tea from the field has been decreased from 450shillings to 400shillings per kilogram.
She said this is due to the need for the protection of factory and the need for it’s continuity. She was however quick to note that board and management will make official communications about price increment changes at a later time.
“That board and management will later inform us again incase the prices are raised again in the market,” Kobusingye noted.
The factory management advises everyone not to loose hope because such changes have always happened.
The public was further asked to continue observing and adhering to COVID-19 SOP’s.
