Over twelve million Uganda shillings was today raised by Christians of Katojo catholic sub parish in Buyanja Town council, Rukungiri district towards the construction of the priest’s house.
Ernest Ngabirano Katana the Manager Administration at National Water and Sewerage Corporation who was the guest of honor hailed Christians of Katojo for working hard towards the completion of the house.
He pledged to contribute 150 iron sheets for roofing the house. He called upon christians not feel shy and contribute whatever they can afford to enable the construction to get finished on time and they get their parish as promised.

Upon completion of the house, the sub parish will be elevated to parish on 13th August this year.
The head of laity for the sub parish Nshoborokirwe Anthony who is also the speaker of Buyanja town council called for support from all corners to ensure that they get the work done before 13th August.
Nshoborokirwe told christians that they need a total of 192 Million to complete the house.
The Mass that was celebrated by the parish priest Nyakibale parish Fr. Severino Twinobusingye pooled a number of people from all faiths.
Among other guests were the Mayor Buyanja town council Mr. Manex Tigandenga, Mr. Benard Kaharata former LC3 chairman Ruhinda subcounty who represented his daughter Hon. Medius Kaharata the woman MP for Rukungiri.
Hon.Medius Kaharata and Hon. Bob Rugonde in their absensure contributed 500,000shs each.
In the same spirit Hon. Namanya Naboth who is also the area MP for Rubabo constituency bought things worth 4.7M geared towards the finishing of the priest’s house.
