MITOOMA:
A stepfather in Mitooma district is on a run after he allegedly murdered two of his stepchildren.
The suspect is Martin Orishaba a resident of Buharambo Parish, Kabira Subcounty Mitooma district.
The deceased have been identified as Watson Muhumuza and Elizabeth’ Amumpaire 3 years, children of Wilson Tibakanya also a resident of the same area.
According to residents, the incident happened on Monday night at around midnight when the suspect attacked the family killing two innocentjuveniles.
A source who talked to this reporter in a phone interview did not disclose the cause of the incident but said police was already in the place to establish the facts.
The source said that Orishaba, the prime suspect is still on the run and police has launched amanhunt against him.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Mitooma Health centre IV for a postmortem.
Attempts to speak to the DPC Mitooma district for a comment remained futile. Further details of this story will be published in our subsequent reports as they develop.
