President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today fulfilled his Tuesday April27th promise to contribute Shs 1.4m to the National Task Force to support in the fight against COVID-19.
The First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni who handed over a donation cheque worth 1.4million on behalf of the president said although the donation is not enough, its spirit for contribution counts.
PM Ruhakana Rugunda received the cheque at the State House Uganda today.
On Tuesday night, while addressing thenation on corona virus updates, President Museveni pledged he would be contributing Shs 1.4milion part of his 3.6salary on a monthly basis. The donated money is meant to support the National Task Force in fighting corona virus.
