KAMPALA
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has made significant appointments and promotions within the Uganda Police Force, Police reported.
In a press release issued by the Police spokesperson ACP Micheal Kituuma Rusoke, the president made elevation of five senior officers to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).
The promotions and appointments include:
- SCP Apora James – Promoted to AIGP and appointed Director of Logistics & Engineering.

SCP Niwabiine Lawrence – Promoted to AIGP and appointed Director of Traffic & Road Safety.

- SCP Obwona Joseph – Promoted to AIGP and appointed Director of Interpol & International Relations.

SCP Tanui Stephen – Promoted to AIGP and appointed Director of Fire & Rescue Services.

SCP Musana John Geoffrey – Promoted to AIGP and appointed Deputy Director of Logistics and Engineering.
These promotions come as part of the President’s ongoing efforts to enhance the leadership and efficiency of the Uganda Police Force in fulfilling its mandate to ensure law and order across the country.
The Uganda Police Force has congratulated the officers on their appointments and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality services to the citizens.
